The sun is trying to shine through the clouds out there and National Weather Service says "rain and snow showers will move out of the region this afternoon, leaving cool and mostly cloudy conditions tonight."
But more precipitation is on deck.
The weather service said Thursday isolated rain and snow showers are possible, mainly over the Black Hills.
"Another system will arrive on Friday, bringing higher chances of morning rain and snow showers along with windy conditions. Expect mild and dry conditions for the weekend."
The forecast for the next few days, according to the weather service:
Tonight: Isolated showers before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. North wind 12 to 17 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 51. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.
Thursday night: A slight chance of rain before midnight, then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Southeast wind 6 to 10 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday: A 50% chance of snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 40. Breezy, with a north wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 38 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Friday night: A 20% chance of snow before midnight. Mostly clear, with a low around 20. Northwest wind 13 to 18 mph decreasing to 7 to 12 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.
